
The allamanda plant is found in areas with an altitude of 10-850 meters above sea level. Naturally, allamanda is a climbing plant that can reach 6 meters in height. Native to Brazil in South America, this family consists of approximately 1,000 species belonging to 75 genera distributed throughout the tropics. In Indonesia, it has been widely used as a traditional medicine.
Alamanda leaves contain bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins that provide health benefits, including detoxification, treating skin diseases, improving digestion, and increasing immunity.
Traditional Use
- Leaf Decoction : Wash 15 leaves thoroughly, boil for 15 minutes, and then drink the decoction twice daily for detoxification or digestive disorders.
- Topical : Crush the leaves and apply to skin affected by boils or eczema for antibacterial and healing effects.
- Leaf Steam : Used to reduce fever by steaming the body.
