In early September 2022, I was assigned to the Bener Meriah area of Central Aceh to oversee logging work. The journey from Tebing Tinggi to Bener Meriah takes about 10 hours. Therefore, I left at 7 a.m. to arrive early. Upon arrival at base camp, I was somewhat surprised by the very cold weather, around 16 degrees Celsius. Even though it was already getting dark, the expanse of coffee plantations and the shadows of the mountains in the distance were still visible. This created a sense of tranquility and serenity.
The next day, we left early, as the journey from base camp to the forest takes about two hours. On the way to the forest, the natural scenery was incredibly beautiful. Here, we saw a valley shrouded in mist. Thick clouds felt like they were beneath our feet. It was like standing on clouds. I was truly amazed by this natural beauty, something we don’t see every day. I really enjoy this kind of atmosphere. I can see and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Situations like this make my heart and mind feel light, exploring the vastness of the universe. This view is a feast for my eyes, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s so enchanting. I imagine I’ll be able to enjoy views like this every day for the next three months.
