Whenever I have a break from work, I always make time to find a place to pursue my photography hobby. Today, I wanted to visit the rice fields during harvest season. However, upon arrival, I discovered that the harvest had already finished. I arrived a week late. Although disappointed that I had arrived, I still tried to find a moment to take photos.

The atmosphere in the rice fields was very quiet. But it was precisely this atmosphere that brought serenity. I imagined the joy of the farmers, working together from morning until evening, harvesting their rice and joking around.
During their midday break, they shared the lunch their families had brought.
How happy the farmers were to see the results of their four months of hard work, from planting to tending to the harvest.
When evening came, they returned home in droves with expressions that were hard to describe. There was satisfaction, pride, and joy. They expressed the overwhelming feeling that their exhaustion had yielded satisfying results.

I continued photographing the situation here. Most of the rice fields appeared empty. Some still emitted smoke from deliberately burned straw. I also spotted a farmer in the distance, probably inspecting his rice fields to plan when to start replanting.
Before I knew it, I’d been here for over an hour, enjoying the silence and serenity of the rice paddies.
I love moments like these. They connect my heart and mind with the natural environment.
I enjoy watching the process from start to finish, an activity that evokes a sense of joy. However, when it comes to taking photos, I prefer to take them after the process is complete. The silence and tranquility that remain truly soothes my heart.
Before leaving, I took one more moment to look around, enjoying the serenity of the empty rice paddies. I hope next time I’ll come during harvest season. Then I can not only imagine but also see the atmosphere and the happy faces of the farmers.
